#seeourFRONTLINERS

Recognizing the threat many workers face everyday during this pandemic, I was inspired to create #SeeOurFRONTLINERS, a documentary portrait project highlighting our frontline and essential workers.

Many of us take for granted the postal worker who places birthday cards in our mailboxes, the nurse who checks our blood pressure, the delivery person dropping off our Friday night takeout, or the person cleaning the hospital beds. These individuals often fly below the radar and are the lifeblood and key to keeping our communities thriving.

Their services have never been so apparent and crucial.

#SeeOurFRONTLINERS shares dynamic, authentic portraits of these rising heroes in the time of COVID-19. Our perceptions and understanding of their work is shifting.

The photos along with their own words honor what they do and their valuable impact on our everyday lives.

If you are a frontliner or essential worker in Rhode Island and interested in being a part of this project, please schedule your portrait below.

At the moment, I am focusing on people living in Providence, Cranston, Warwick, and Pawtucket.

If you are a person or organization interested in funding this project, I have partnered up with Global Fellows in Courage to receive tax deductible donations through AS220.

If you are a photographer wanting to highlight #FRONTLINERS in your own community, and are looking for guidance on how to do so, contact me below.

I know safety is a top priority. Here is the protocol I follow to keep us safe and to thank you for participating:

  • Once we schedule a time to do the photo shoot, I set up a backdrop and a light outside your home and text you to let you know when I am ready for you to step outside for your portrait.

  • I will remain at least 10 feet away and will be wearing a mask.

  • I will photograph you for 5-10 minutes and then pack up and leave after your shoot.

  • I will make sure to keep a safe distance at all times, never touching or physically interacting with anyone.

  • After your session, I will ask you to send me a short paragraph about your experience during this pandemic and will be sharing the image and text to social media.

  • You will receive one matted 5x7 color print and the digital file at no charge.

  • If significant rain or high winds are predicted during the time of your shoot, I will notify you beforehand to reschedule.

THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE! We could not get through this without you.
